This is a touching letter we recieved from Charity Njeri, a student in Naivasha, Kenya. One of Menlo-Atherton Key Club's missions is to help fund Charity's schooling in Africa. In her letter she writes about how she is working very hard in school and how she wants to "get to the peak of the mountain". She thanks us for all of the support we have provided her with and we hope she continues to move forward to fulfill her dreams.

Dear sponsers,
My name is Charity Njeri. I am a student in St. Francis Xavier Girls' High School in Naivasha, Kenya. Before I joined the school I had spent my eight years in primary school at Milimani Primary School. I did very well during my final examinations of primary school. I got a vacancy here. Through your help I managed to join the school.
I am a third born in my family. I have been brought up by my mother. I spent most of the time out of school during my final year in high school due to lack of fees.
I am now in school full time all because of your help. I thank you very much for your continuous support towards my education. I promise that at the end of the four years in high school I am going to make you proud because I believe I am a champion.
My chief mission in school is to get to the peak of the mountain which in my case is education. I always dream of one day helping those who really need my help in the future. That is why I am working hard in my school work so that I can be successful in life and help others also succeed in life. I believe that I am a champion and can make those who feel are worthless also feel they are chamipions. Through your generocity I have got to learn the value of educaton and I really appreciate it.
I am progressing well academically here in school. I believe that I have the potential to do even better. As I am heading to the third form in high school, I will still keep the academic spirit higher and higher.
I thank you very much for enlightening me especially on education. I really treasure education very much and I appreciate that you also treasure it. Thank you, thank you very much. I will ever and always remember you in my prayers that God will always bless you abunduntly.
From, Charity Njeri
